PAFC U13s A Team used the Christmas MSL Soccer Break to play two friendlies.  The first match was played last Thursday the 29th Dec. against Abbeyleix A U13s in Ballyroan.  This was a very close match with little between the sides until Fionn Scully scored two late goals to leave PAFC 2-0 winners.

On Monday 2nd January the side then played SDSL Premier side Cabinteely A in Rossleighan Park.  Cabinteely got off to a great start and after twenty minutes lead 2-0 thanks to two well taken goals from their strikers.  PAFC then make a magnificent comeback with a goal from
Ross Brennan and this was followed five minutes later by a fine goal from Oran Murphy to make it 2 - 2.  Oran Murphy then scored a brilliant goal with a lob over the keeper from outside the box to make it 3 - 2 at halftime.  Cabinteely came back well in the second half but Sean McCormack pulled off some super saves to keep the score at 3 - 2.  Joe Nevin then added a fourth just before the end and Sean McCormack then saved a penalty to leave the final score 4-2.

The Team Management would like to thank both Abbeyleix and Cabinteely for these two
friendlies and Cabinteely and their Manager Tony Livingston for travelling from Dublin with a full strength squad who are second in the U13s Premier Division in the SDSL.  The Management would also like to thank the parents for organising the food and hot drinks after the match.
